• Travel (see below)
- Beers Experienced During Travel
Italy (September 2009): Peroni and Moretti (preferred) sipped while on the beaches of Cinque Terre.
- Australia (July 2010): Little Creatures Pale Ale – a case cost $60 but worth it to enjoy on the beaches in Noosa. Backups included Coopers, James Squires, and the occasional VB.
- Fiji (November 2003): Bula! Fiji Bitter of course. Enjoyed the stubbies, but was constantly panicked that the remote island would run out as the daily case arrived by motor boat. Hawaii (April 2010): Fond memories of the Big Swell IPA by the Maui Brewing Company and their coffee porter. The former came with us to the black sand beaches on the road to Hana.Costa Rica (March 2006): Imperial Beer was a perfect accompaniment to the heat and surf in Nosara. Bavaria was also consumed while watching the sunset.
THE FUTURE
Beginning March 2011, I will be taking a sabbatical from work to focus on enjoying life and exploring my passions. These passions include food, beer, wine, travel, learning, and meeting new people. I will be documenting it all here.
My beer tasting will continue during this year’s travel plans in places including:
- • Texas
• Nicaragua
• California
• Europe (several countries still TBD)
• Ontario (cottage country)
• Southeast Asia
• Australia
In addition, I hope to return to San Francisco to help my friend Melissa start her new business, The Good Hop Bottle Shop.
